Due to the ongoing spread of the Coronavirus and the physical close contact nature of badminton, the club recommends a couple of preventative measures for the health and safety of all players.
Your cooperation will help minimise any disruption to badminton.
Recent Traveller or Living With One?
We’d like to remind all players who have recently arrived/transferred from a restricted travel country (China, South Korea, Iran & Italy), follow the Government’s recommended 14 day self isolation before attending.
Any player living with an individual who is in self isolation and showing visible signs of illness should, out of respect for other players, wait until the individual has been cleared of any Coronavirus before attending.
During this period, visit a COVID clinic if you are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19.
Feeling Unwell?
Badminton can be addictive, but please do not attend if you are sick. Stay home and rest. Seek medical attention if symptoms persist.
Bye to the High Five
For now, replace the customary “high five” at the end of each game with a “racquet wave” instead.
Handwash Available
Handwash will be available in the kitchen each night from the next session onwards.
Keep Calm and Play Badminton
Until health warnings are issued for Perth, badminton will continue as usual. We will continue to monitor the situation and will advise of any changes via email and our website.
Last minute cancellations will be sent via text message to members. Non members should check the website for updates before attending.
For now, we advise that all players remain calm and take the recommended precautions and hygiene guidelines outlined by the health authorities.
